Stir It Up is a cast of 4 main characters;
SMOKEY, a Nigerian Asylum seeker, now approved British Citizen, has dreams/plans greater than life itself.

SHAMONA, Smokey's girlfriend, all she wants is to settle down and have two kids, a dog, all living on the hills and of cause her baby Smokey.

ZIGGY, Smokey's confident and landlord, a DJ by night with a mission to enligten men about the evils that women do, and holds onto the idiology that all men should stick together.

And TAQUANA, who can't stand Smokey and is madly in love with Ziggy, in Ziggy's opinion the only one that can bring then together is God and he has still not said anything to him with regards to them ever getting together, from her point of resoning, he is just not Listening hard enough.
